Who we are:
Seven Threads Studios is an association of fiber artists interested in developing a group presence in the Canadian art community.
We want to foster growth and experimentation through our work and further an understanding of fiber art and its evolving forms by encouraging exhibits that showcase the medium at its best. While individually each of us continues to progress towards our own goals, we believe that the collaborative nature of our group enhances our careers.
We draw on each other's expertise in different areas to overcome technical and artistic challenges.
The group provides a sounding board when developing new ideas in both our art and the business of art.
We assist each other in preparing materials for portfolios and share information on upcoming shows.
We expect that the contacts we develop as a group will lead to shows that will highlight our talents and diversity. We meet once a month, and converse almost daily on-line.
